Iām an MPH Epidemiology and Biostatistics student in Boston and Iām really interested in data science as a career. I have gotten training in statistics and research methods/ design, I know SAS and am going to work on learning R this summer during my health equity internship at a state agency while also writing literature reviews and other small projects. I would like to get a PhD but I have limited maths education (only up to basic stats in my undergrad and applied stats in my MPH) and I would need my PhD to be in Boston which limits me to one program, Boston University, as I have a house here. What should I do? Should I get a job or go for a PhD?
