Old External Hard Drive not recognized

I have 2 of these old firewire-400 mercury elite drives. Putting the picture just to see the drive in case youre familiar. Gotta be 15 years old.

But main thing is I think the drives are fine but aren't recognized by any computer I try. I was thinking of data recovery service but it seems so expensive for what might be an easily solvable issue.

I'm just not very savvy with this. I know how to save my projects and media to the drives and that's about it!

Just a lot of nostalgia on these I'd love to get. Any ideas appreciated
