I am currently a Java developer for almost 3 years. I like my job but I don't like my current situation with my company. So now I am job hunting applying for Java dev roles. However, a friend of mine suggested that they will refer me into an entry level Data Engineering role. I have a prior knowledge with Machine Learning and Statistics as it was implemented in my undergraduate thesis. I still have to have an interview but I want to be well informed prior the process. What should I expect? Is it a good career move to dabble into the DE field?
Enlighten me. Thank you!
