What does Coding in “Production” mean - Databricks

Had an interview today and was asked if I code in production.
I’m not sure what this terminology means? In Databricks, I code in the environment where the changes in the code impact business.
I answered no bcz I was unsure if that’s what I do.
Any insights? Thanks
