Recently, a lot of Dash users have been victim of (intentionally created?) confusion of this warning to the CryptoNote community:
https://getmonero.org/2017/05/17/disclosure-of-a-major-bug-in-cryptonote-based-currencies.html
The bug described in that post affects, among other projects a CryptoNote clone named "DashCoin". Obviously this warrants a clear and explicit differentiation:
There is "DASH" and there is "DashCoin".
The two have nothing in common except for four letters.
The ambiguity created by the similarity of names has been left unaddressed by said blog post, despite Dash clearly being the much wider known currency of the two (A quick glance at this link shows the projects insignificance).
Thus a clarification on the difference of both projects was definitely warranted. First and foremost because Dashcoin is declared as being affected by the "major bug" described.
Failing to do so qualifies as an abuse of ambiguity and an omission of vital information in what we believe was an attempt to spread FUD by underhandedly associating Dash with a major bug that does not and can not exist in its codebase.
