Why wouldn’t you use the Check In app?

It has been surprising how many people I’ve seen today manually writing their details down when going into a store. I can’t see any downside to using the app, I’m curious why there are some people who aren’t?
I could understand for interstate travellers, but the app has been live for over a year, so why not install it?
