I used to love watching YouTube videos of people playing Dark Souls games, in particular DS3. But I could never get into playing it myself. I just found it too frustrating. I'd get to about the Curse-rotted Greatwood, get beaten up a lot and just give up.

I recently picked DS3 on offer though and decided to persevere through, taking little breathers when I got annoyed or in my own head.

And I adore it! I love this game. I love the challenge. I love learning from my errors and I find myself now thinking about different strategies for each area.

I'm currently at Irithyll of the Boreal Valley, having just beaten Pontiff Sulyvahn on a third attempt. And I can't wait to move onto the next step.

Dark Souls 3 is a very addictive and fun game, and I'm glad I gave it another chance!
