When I played my first Fromsoft game, BB, a year or so back I read so many tips and guides to focus on stats that scaled with your weapon like strength, skill, and then to focus on vitality. And I had a pretty hard time.
On my recent new playthrough I put a ton into END and was flying through enemies. Now on my first run of DS3 I didn't focus so much on stamina and was having some trouble, but I eventually started focusing on it makes a world of difference.
The ability to keep attacking, esp with a big weapon like the claymore or a great sword is so useful. I can take out so many enemies while staggering them before they can hit me or get in a good amount of hits but still roll away.
Especially because weapons can be upgraded on their own it can compensate for lower stats elsewhere.
I know stamina is important but I never see any tips for noobs to grow it, it always seems to me like people relegate it as a necessary but non essential stat that you should git gud and only level it a bit.
But personally it makes the games so much more manageable and fun (imo) with high end. Even with weaker buffed weapons, if they have staggering or hyperarmor it can make you deadly.
