Dark souls has initially been a nightmare game series for me as someone with visual spatial issues, motor skill issues and an awful depth perception. I wasn’t expecting much when I picked up the third instalment.
Boy how wrong I was.
Even defeating the tutorial boss was a challenge for me I’ll admit. But the relief and the excitement I got from actually doing it kept me coming back. I blundered and swore but at least I was still pushing through. I’ve already noticed how much my visual spatial skills and motor skills have started to improve. It’s such a liberating feeling to feel yourself get better. The architecture of the world too kept me coming back. Like the sheer beauty would keep me there.
Boss fights became easier as time wore on too. I’m still on Farron Keep at the abyss watcher’s boss battle and so far my weapon of choice has been a flamberge because it most suits my play style. If anyone has any tips on how to use it to the end that would be appreciated because I love this weapon a lot. I failed Sirris’ questline as I’ve been trying to follow Leonhard’s questline and Sirris will no longer talk to me. I am a lord of hollows. I’ve done a hell of a lot more than I thought I would have. If anyone has any tips for Abyss watcher’s final form please let me know too.
I still have a long way to go but I’m glad I gave dark souls a shot and I’m glad it helped me with some of my issues, at least a little bit.
