I mean, wow. Just wow.
I've played DS3, Bloodborne and Elden Ring before picking up the DS3 DLC over the festive period. I'd heard so much and was so eager to get into it.
I won't lie, I found Ariandele a bit... Meh, but I enjoyed the challenge and the lore elements.
Then it came to Friede...
My god. This is what FromSoft games are about. From her literally sything me down in mere seconds in her first form, to me slowly learning her patterns and movements and getting to the madness that is the second phase. Getting through that and then, oh then...
Blackflame Friede.
I've never been more challenged by a game in my life. And I absolutely loved it. I actually felt a twinge of sadness when I finally completed the fight, many days after my first attempt; sad that it was over.
It's not the destination, it's the journey.
Roll on The Ringed City...
