I have about 1000 hours in ds1, it was my favorite game at a time where gaming was the only thing that brought me joy. Granted, it's been almost a decade since I last played, but my memory still rings true. Praise the sun.

Anyway, I choose the master key as one does, and proceed to kill the tutorial boss and gargoyls. After ringing the first bell, I foolishly think to myself- I remember the second bell being really low in the map (in beautiful contrast to the first, high bell). So off to blight town I go through valley.

Needless to say I quickly realized my mistake, but not before resting in blight town, then the auxiliary fire between depths and blight town. No problem- I think to myself. Ill just go backwards and climb up to the depths to get out.

Mind you I'm level 4- i FINALLY reach the depths door-
