Some background listening for atmosphere: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phlrgUGpt38#t=0m34s
Several different versions have been shown off by many people several times, but I kind of would like to see a 'definitive' Belmont-build. Here's some breakdowns of the character-build I have so far.
Weapon: Whip, obviously. But would it be Divine/Occult to fit the motif, or Flame/Chaos for that sweet "flame-kill" sprite from Castlevania classic?
Items: Throwing Knife (poison as well?), Fire Bomb (Black?)
Armor: Light obviously
Head- Anything at all? I'd think a pure build would entail no hood whatsoever, but I've seen many using either wanderer or gold-trim hood.
Body- I'm more inclined for Hard Leather for the durability and resistance, but are there arguments for Leather, Wanderer?
Arms- Hard Leather Manchette, hands-down.
Legs- Black Leather Boots seem the better all-around one here.
Now here's where it gets tricky...
Stats: A Belmont-build that uses a whip would obviously entail a large investment into DEX to get the whip to not ENTIRELY suck. But if you were to go with a FLAME/CHAOS whip, that kills ALL stat scaling? Alternatively, a DIVINE weapon path for him would entail FAITH/DEX build, would it not? Especially if you were to use miracles? But this division between stats would limit character growth since you'd be splitting soul levels between the two, which may lead to neglecting VIT and END to compensate. Speaking of miracles...
Miracles/Spells: I don't even
I appreciate any/all input here, as I would absolutely adore one superhappyfuntime playthrough as the real Simon Belmont.
