Finished Dark Souls… finally understand “git gud”

I tried a long time ago and quit after a few hours. Every internet tip was either a walkthrough or forums explaining the only way to beat the game was to be better at the combat. Then I did Elden Ring, and I thought it was clear you could beat these games without getting gud. Then I went back to Dark Souls… much easier with Elden Ring under my belt, but it got so much easier as I started to parry, strafe instead of spam B, etc. I realized when I finished it that the only way I was able to was by… getting good. No spirit ashes, no spamming LT, just learning the mechanics and mastering them. May git gud never die!!
