What are y’all’s ideas for a new biome?

It doesn’t have to be a complete idea with everything thought out. I’ll give a few examples below of things I’ve thought of and things my gf’s thought of.

For some things to think about as well: Remember that each biome needs a basic theme/design for most enemies. Some elite enemies. Some decor for the road plus designs for the lair and resistance encounters. A lair boss. Two trophies. An explanation for what the region was before the world started collapsing. And an explanation for why the region is fucked up now. Like for example, the feoter enemies are very toothy and gross. This is because when the world got fucked up, their response was “one last meal” then never stopped eating. Then mystery meat started growing out of the ground and gave them new mouths. Lair boss is a harvest child made literal. Before the world went to shit, it was the Kingdom’s farmland.

• Enemy faction called The Cunning Folk. This was a group of people on the Salem witch trial days that are responsible for how we know the word voodoo today. Would use herbal remedies to self heal, could accuse heroes of being witches for stress, and could throw enemies on a flaming pyre like Fanatic in DD1.

• Enemy faction with stealth as a big deal. Most enemies would use stealth in some way. Maybe their lore could be that they’re trying to hide from the end of the world

• Theme of irrationality/denial. The enemies are all denying that the world is ending. Idk how this would translate to attacks or enemy designs though.

• Kingdom outskirts location. May work well with the above two points.

• Kingdom castle location. Lair boss could be the King and/or Queen.

• Minotaur lair boss/enemy/elite. Idk how to work it in with anything else though.
