Heya! Just like the title asks, I was wondering if there was any team comps that work particularly well against the act II boss. I've tried it about 4 times, but the team(s) I thought would work best aren't working out very well.
The team I tried first was MaA(Sergeant), Occultist(Ritualist), Leper(Tempest), and Hellion(Ravager). My reasoning was that Leper and Hellion could reliably pop the front and back lungs, and then the Occultist would heal and the MaA could manage stress. It worked... alright, but a big problem was that, since so much of my damage was going into attacking the lungs, actually killing the boss was difficult. Eventually I missed killing a lung, and with a crit exhale I couldn't recover.
After a couple attempts of that, I replaced the MaA with a wanderer Plague Doctor, just to help with damage against the boss, and some backup healing. I unlocked Hellions stress heal ability, and I figured between her and Lepers stress heals, we'd make it through alright. We did a lot better, but in fighting the lungs I had some more bad luck. Some bad blinds and a minimum damage chop (11-32, I think?), got me breathed on and I exploded.
I don't think the team composition is bad at all, but it feels like it needs to be executed very very precisely. One mistake, or one bad blind is enough to make the run end. I was wondering if anyone had any other compositions they'd recommend? I got 87 candles after my most recent attempt, so I should be able to unlock more paths, but some of my characters still lack some abilities. (I'll try to remedy that.)
I'd especially love any compositions that are pretty unique, just because after 4 runs of almost the same comp, I am a lil bored. (I've made it to the lungs each time though, so I think the comp is very good general purpose-wise)
Thanks so much, and have a wonderful day. .^
Hellion and PD were huge for me beating this boss. PD being able to hit position 3 and 4 with one blight attack let's you rack up damage on the lung and the body at the same thing. Hellion with Iron Swan hits 1 and 4 so well, too. I think you're probably already pretty close to winning
