Tl;Dr: Is gameplay or visuals and audio more important to you?
Hi, I have a question for you about DD2 mods. I have recently finished all of the gameplay for a new class mod The Devotee - the first completely unique class mod for DD2 that isn't an enemy as a playable hero.
However, I have an issue - I don't know Blender or F-Mod studios at all, and definitely have no clue how I would port models, animations and sounds into the game. As a result, The Devotee currently uses The Highwayman's model, animations and sounds. Also, any future mods I make(Heros, enemies, maybe even a whole new region) would have the same limitations.
So, do you think it would be better for me spend a few months learning Blender and F-Mod, and then learning how to port it in - Or, should I just make more mods with ateast all the gameplay done, but without any unique visuals and audio?
My personal preference would be to pump out more mods with only gameplay done, but I honestly just want to do whatever will make the community happiest, since there is sadly not a huge modding scene for DD2 right now - at least for new characters.
