I got Danganronpa Decadence a few weeks ago and I loved it. I’ve really gotten into this series and I wanna fully experience it, which brings me to UDG. The developers said they didn’t wanna port it cuz of sensitive topics, but they’d do it if there’s enough interest. Since then, under every tweet from Spike Chunsoft, there’s people asking for UDG on Switch and Xbox. Also, earlier this year, they did a survey about Decadence and the last question was about whether or not UDG should be ported. They’ve shown some interest and it’s clear that the fans really want it to be ported. There’s some other factors that I think are interesting, such as the fact that the 10 year anniversary of the Japanese release of UDG is in 2 years. Since the games were ported to Switch for the 10 year anniversary of the first game, it seems possible that the same thing could happen. The team is also working on a game called Enigma Archives: Rain Code. They might announce UDG being ported alongside announcements of this new project. Spike Chunsoft is also frequently doing sales on Danganronpa and talking about it, so it’s clear that they still care about it. They haven’t forgotten about this series so it’s possible.
