Chapter 1 "Swallowing Death" (Part 4.1):

Day 4 (Part 1) shows us the side of the first squad consisting of Wii Fit Trainer, Richter Belmont, Zelda, Joker and King Dedede.

The day starts by showing the motive of the chapter which is dark deep secrets of everyone being revealed by Day 6 and after everyone is given theirs, Master Hand leaves and afterwards, Squad 1 agree to talk about the motive at the end of the day

Then it continues by showing a comedy scene of Zelda trying to teach Dedede some manners (essentially not eating everything in the table or stealing food) and Dedede basically trolling her by doing improper things at the table because he can, not because he wants to be evil. Meanwhile, we see Joker to the right all alone while being watched Richter till WFT pulls his attention telling him that she wants to chat with him to distract him off the dangers that Joker could bring which just makes Joker leave alone and unlike with the other two squads, the 4 stand their place rather than following albeit Zelda and Dedede are busy with what was said earlier and WFT and Richter are chatting. As per what the latter are chatting is around WFT's life since she wants to share her life which gets an eyebrow raised from the other 3 since they didn't expect her to have more in her life than being a trainer and WFT says that she is about training but she also fishes from time to time which isn't that amazing per say but it is a way to chill down from training people which can be exhausting (here she glares angrily at nothing) specially if the people don't pay attention to her. After she finishes saying this, and Zelda notices Dedede once again eating the food of the squad she just gets up and leaves pissed off while Dedede laughs before he's glared at by Richter and WFT who follow after her and after they leave, Dedede looks at the food and leaves without eating the rest of it.

From here we move onto another event where Joker is pacing around with a sad look on his face for not being trusted and then Dedede appears from behind him and scares him which forces Joker to instinctively pull his knife and do a backflip over Dedede before putting the knife around his neck and Dedede at first thinks of screaming but then switches into a grin telling Joker that he could scream and all but he'd better let him go now or else he'll scream and alert the rest of their squad about their position which would screw his chances of being trusted over. Joker lets him go saying that he just attacked him because he surprised him and Dedede says "Is that so?. Welllll, i could tell them about the attack just to cause confusion and prank everyone", Joker answers that he'd better not do it because no one would believe him and then Dedede says "But this is YOU who we are talking about, Mr. Stealer of Hearts. I am sure if i say this little incident they would believe me over you." Dedede then proceeds to leave as Joker realizes Dedede is right and begs him to not do it and Dedede realizes the situation Joker's in and comes to a realization. Then Dedede says "How about you serve me?" and Joker at first is like "Wait what" before saying "Hold on, i never---". Dedede says "Remember our secreeet" and Joker groans before he shakes hands with Dedede as he says "Well Joker, or should i say Jester servant, let us go somewhere, i have a plan!" with a grin as he thinks "I'm gonna show that little princess what being a king means"

Meanwhile, WFT and Richter have caught up to Zelda who is practicing archery to calm down from the angryness Dedede gave her and then after she finishes hitting the last target right in the middle, WFT and Richter talk about how she shouldn't get worked up over Dedede not having manners since they all know he just does it to be annoying since he isn't evil. And Zelda says that she knows...it....it's just that it's annoying to see someone in charge of running a place have no manners or be like Dedede since royals have to set an good example and not be like Dedede. Afterwards, we see WFT telling Zelda that she can't give up on reforming Dedede since after all...here her expression gets a bit weird since it feels like something's off about her..."Everyone can be trained into working in a way can they not?.". This makes Richter and Zelda exchange a glance before they get up and go call for Dedede and Joker as WFT just follows them in silence thinking if she may have overdone it with those last words only to dismiss them as her just overthinking it and them being necessary.

After the 5 reunite, we see them all talking about what to do with the motive with WFT trying to calm everyone alongside Zelda saying that everyone has secrets but it is up to them to accept them being revealed since what could be the worst it could happen if they do get revealed?: ''Ruined reputation?, it can just be built back up." (WFT says this) "And even if it is something really, really bad, one can be given second chances after all" (Zelda continues). Meanwhile, Dedede is more or less calm since he'd prefer his secrets weren't said but if they are, it ain't the end of the world since as a king he can demand obedience, Joker is kinda trembling between the distrust his group has on him and the secret duo with Dedede being laid out in the open and Richter is being the voice of moreso conscience saying that not everyone will want their secrets exposed because of how dark they might be and thus could be brought into killing. This is when they all are forced to separate and leave by their ways (barring Richter who follows Joker till he enters his room and then he leaves to enter his own room) and while Zelda is a bit wary but 80% fine with the situation, WFT is faling to be fine with it since (and she tells this to herself) "It is a trainer's duty to give an example to her trainees and what kind of example am i giving showing fear?." before struggling to sleep. As per the boys, Dedede is annoyed due to the motive but satisfied now that he has Joker's services for his plan, Richter is fully alert due to the motive (via having his whip under the pillow) so no one tries to sneak on him and Joker...Joker is clearly being torn apart by the whole situation due to both Dedede's plan, not being trusted by anyone, the motive since he doesn't know if it would involve almost slitting Dedede's throat on accident which would even worsen the trust of others in him and...something else which only Joker knows right now but we don't.
