So I just wanted to ask does anyone think the Clock Tower series influenced the character Genocider Syo?

I know Kodaka worked on clock tower 3 but what's interesting is that in the previous game Clock Tower: Ghost Head there's a character named Alyssa who has a dormant side called Bates who is a killer. His Japanese name is also Sho.

Another coincidence is that Bates only takes control when under extreme duress such as being bullied or being attacked by stalkers. Lastly the Clock Tower series most iconic stalker is referred to as Scissorman. Which is Genocider's preferred weapon.

So do y'all think these are cool coincidences or like friendly callbacks?
