So this was around 2016 I was in a parody production of Dance Moms. It was IIRC like a full episode of DM basically, rehearsal, pyramid and competition. WE TOOK ACTUAL HEADSHOTS OF THE CAST PLAYING THE DANCERS AND MADE "Gabby Lee Dance Company" Signs to go on top. We learnt choreo, and had 2 studios (2 classes of the PA Company I was at).

WHO DID I AUDITION FOR?: Well, since I was a MAJOR Dance Moms superfan, I went for Gabby Lee Miller and I went ALL OUT BABES. I put on my ALDC MERCH I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS, I got my STUFFED TOY DOG to play Broadway Baby. I was CO-MIT-TED. I didn't get the role lol. I got Tabbi, the Gianna character. The other characters were dancers, MOMS and CADC variants of our team. I remember having to PUSH THE WOODEN TRIANGLE ONTO STAGE W GABBY. Dedication mawma. We played 6 shows iirc. (this is off the top of my head sorry.)

We also used songs that I recognised from the show such as Heartbreak by Bekah Shae (used in Stomp the Yard) and I would sing this backstage while memorizing the choreo from the actual tv show. (Reason 13738 of why I should've realised I was neurodivergent lmaoo).
