Removing pests when bringing in flowers

I'm relatively new to dahlia growing and every year I get pests usually just a few aphids here and there as well as other things but it's not a massive problem for me, but when I cut them and bring them inside I carry those pests in, I've got a lot of houseplants inside as well. Does anyone have tips on what to do to the flowers after cut to reduce the pests? Is there a magical way that I'm missing out on? Thanks all (picture for attention)
