When/How to Tell My Kids I am Seeing Someone

Post Body

By way of background, my wife and I separated in October, 2019, but we remained living together until May, 2021. We were in separate rooms, etc. We have two children, 7M, and 12F. Both were surprised when we told them that we would not be living together anymore.

I have been seeing someone for a while. It is serious enough that I am looking at introducing her to my kids. I am trying to figure out how and when to do that. Timing right now is a bit tricky with camps (I don't want to tell my daughter right before she leaves for sleepaway camp) and visits from my parents, but I think it's about time to do it.

My son is convinced I am dating someone. My daughter is convinced I am not, and that my son's conviction comes from anxiety.

I would appreciate any advice and guidance on this.
