I’ve been dating a woman for a few years now. She knows that I have children and understands that sometimes I need to leave at the drop of a hat to be there for them.
Since covid I have not had my oldest son over my home but we have been very active outside. Recently my sons mother told me that her significant other has to get a job because they can’t survive on her income alone. My son is also doing virtual learning so an adult needs to be with him during that. After bringing this news to my girlfriend she told me that there is absolutely no way my son is doing his schooling here or even entering the house until AFTER a vaccine has been released and requests documentation that he does not carry covid.
My girlfriend then mentioned that I shouldn’t be helping my sons mother because it’s her responsibility to find care for our son throughout the week. We went to court and our agreement is she has him during the week, and I on the weekends.
I tried explaining that it doesn’t matter and that it’s unfair. Am I in the wrong for this?
It is her house that she owns by the way. I feel like I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place.
