My daughter is almost 3 and potty training hasn’t been going well. She doesn’t like wearing her diaper when it’s wet, so she takes it off and hides it or she takes it off and pees on the floor. She also refuses to even try the potty. She only says she has to go potty because she likes to wash her hands. Otherwise she sits and the potty and screams, until she gets a diaper on
Last night, she did it. She peed in the potty and I’m so proud of her. We celebrated hard and she lit up. It seems she responded so well to positive reinforcement that she got up in the middle of the night and pooped in the potty all on her own. I’ve never been so proud of someone else pooping than I am of her. Just wanted to share the victory with everyone.
