So my daughter is now 6, when we first broke up we didn't see eye to eye on much and I did commercial fishing in Alaska, which means I was gone pretty often at times. It's been 4 years since I've been on the boat and of course at the time, being gone that often we decided that it was a smart idea to get on child support.
Fast forward to her being 6 now and a very involved father, as much as I CAN be now that she's moved, getting her on the weekends and so on and so forth, I still talk to her nearly everyday and support any way possible.
Her mom is getting married next year, I'm not sure if this could apply to getting off but we've both decided for my household and everything when it comes to her interests and the things she wants that it would be beneficial not only to the bills for me but for my daughter too for me not to be on child support any longer. The only thing I could find on getting off child support is signing over my rights though sadly, is it possible to have her write that she doesn't want me on it any longer, have it notarized or something and send it to a judge or anything? Are there any other options in the state of Ohio?
