Blended family of 6.5 years. Girls in question are both 12ish, have grown up together, are tight. Great kids.
No idea if this is a thing.
Everyoneâs been in bed for like 15 minutes. Wife and I are chilling on phones, bedroom door closed, lights on.
Out of nowhere, something starts beeping. Pretty loudly, and unfamiliar. My wife goes, itâs Alexa bc our Echoâs light is spinning. âAlexa, stop!â It doesnât stop.
I unplug Alexa, it doesnât stop. I open the bedroom door and pick up the cellphone with the April Fool YouTube Siren video playing on it.
They come in, we congratulate them profusely, we laugh, hang out for a few, send them off.
Itâs just cool that both of them know both of us well enough to feel safe pulling that off. Like they knew that weâd think it was awesome. Which we did.
