Scorpion question

Just bought a CZ scorpion evo 3 S1 pistol. I noticed that a lot of other scorpions have a slab sided receiver and mine has a slot on the left side ( non ejection port ) not sure what it’s for maybe a sling. Anyone know what it’s for or why they aren’t all like this? Kinda disappointing mines different. Also their is a hole with a ring around it? On the operating rod? If that’s what you call it. Others look like their hole is wider what is it for? Is it a problem ?
