Hello, I ride my bike mostly on weekends 10-20km it is an activity that gives me the utmost pleasure. But I get into some moments of tension when I feel disrespected by drivers, I've been making some unwise choices when facing this kind of conflict and I'm really afraid this will get me killed or seriouslly hurt some day. I mean it is not that commom, but last sunday I was completelly stupid after a driver cut me off, I proceeded to speed up my bike overtake him by the wrong way, to make him slow down and get stuck at a red light.
This is the most ridiculous and dangerous thing I've done in my life, it was so stupid I can't get it out of my mind, so I'd like to know if someone been through a similar process and what have you done to get back at riding safelly.
I think that as I started to ride more often I gained more confidence than I should because of being able to speed up faster than cars, but now I feel I have to get to be cautious again, or simply quit riding before something bad happens.
Yeah, feel free to roast me as I was stupid and I know it but please give me tips if you felt like that too.
