When I first bought my bike there was this blue looking paste around where my seat post enters the bike frame. I assumed it was some type of non-oil lubricant. Well months later it’s worn away from cleaning my bike and I noticed that my bike is making noise. At first I thought it was my pedal but when I stand up and pedal there is no sound, only when I sit and pedal. There is also no sound when I’m cursing while sitting but not pedaling. It’s only when I sit and pedal. So I’m assuming it’s my seat. My seat post is tight and my saddle is tight. I’m wondering what type of lubricant to get for my seat post. I already have WD-40 bike specific lube but it will likely be too liquidity to put on my seat post. What can I use?? I’m not sure what blue paste was originally there. Can I also apply it to my saddle clamp?
