Is there any decent/viable way to generate electricity while indoor cycling?

If/when the power goes out I want to be like a hamster on wheels powering a battery so we can charge our phones and flashlights and shit.
Google isn't giving me very straightforward answers.

Your getting down voted but I remember news stories in the 80s where they would show eccentric people living off the grid who had some bicycle power contraption, sure it was incredibly impractical but people tried it.
