It's three for me; my old 80's Miyata Tri-A, which was my first "serious" road bike. Lock cut and gone while I was in a downtown grocery store. Then my single-speed commuter, built up from odds and ends on a cheap aluminum Scattante road frame. I loved that bike, it just fit like a glove and was great all year round; I'd painted it British racing green to be low key, and had a bio-pace chainring on it, like I'd had on my Miyata. It's been 15 years but I still look for it. Then a Specialized Vita hybrid bike I bought for my daughter, which she only got to ride a few times. The last two were stolen off my front porch, the lock cut off.
One, kind of one of those one in a million deals, had it outside in the garage for about an hour with the dog inside, usually the dog would be outside and throw a fit, someone in that hour someone managed to find the bike and steal it. Suburban neighborhood that would normally get very little foot or vehicle traffic. Since then have kept bikes indoors at all times.
