I’ve recently picked up a second hand Norco Section that has a Dura ace r9100 crankset on it. I’m hoping to use it as a mixed gravel/road bike but I find that the gearing is a little bit stiff for me, it has 52/36 up front and an 11-28t cassette. My initial thought was to put a 50/34t chainring up front but I can’t seem to find confirmation on if other shimano parts are compatible with the cranks. I don’t really want to shell out for dura ace chainrings or a whole new crankset (I got a good deal on the bike so didn’t really consider alternative components). Are there any 105 chainrings that are compatible? Or should I just deal with the current gearing up front and get a wider range cassette?
