So, recently our ISP app has sent multiple warnings about foreign ip addresses trying to gain access to my laptop over the past few weeks. This can be traced back to me clicking on a suspicious link sent in a public discord server (to make sure it wouldn't harm any other users) and soon the sender was able to tell me everything about my location (not exact but close), isp, time, etc. Weeks later there have been numerous attempts of many people or who knows how it works, but multiple Ip addresses being detected as trying to get into a port (the last one was them trying to get into port 20732.
how can I prevent this from continuing, what are they able to do if they get in this way, and what should I do?
I've done a factory reset after the last attack but I do not know what else to do to keep me and my family safe from these attacks. Any suggestions?
