Hey everyone,
I've been working on a SaaS platform that helps companies make better hires using CTF style challenges. Job applicants complete tailored hiring assessments, and the platform ranks them on a leaderboard based on their performance. It breaks down their skills, strengths, and weaknesses.
I won't post the link here since I know there are rules about advertising, but I would really appreciate any advice or input on the concept. I'm a former SOC Manager, and I built this platform to solve a problem I faced myself. I quit my full-time job to go all in on this project.
I'd love your insights on a few things:
- Value of Data-Driven Hiring: How important is it to make hiring decisions based on data?
- Ranking Applicants by Technical Ability: How valuable is it to be able to rank a large number of applicants by their skills? Automatically? In a leaderboard?
I'm also trying to pinpoint the biggest pain points this platform could solve, like:
- Helping HR shortlist candidates for interviews.
- Saving hours of manual resume screening.
- Reducing the risk of a bad hire.
- Lowering cyber risk by hiring better talent.
Do any of these resonate with you? Are these issues you face? Would a solution like this be useful or valuable to you? How much do you think it would be worth?
Also, I'm looking for people to test the platform for free in exchange for feedback. If you're interested, please let me know.
I've tried some cold outreach while building the MVP, but I didn't get any positive responses. I'm feeling pretty disheartened and wondering if the idea just doesn't solve a real problem or if I'm just really bad at sales and marketing.
Since I haven't received any replies, no one has actually tested the solution yet. Any advice or feedback to give me hope that I haven't wasted my time would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks a lot!
