So, a bit of background, I've been a GM of several different games of around 3 years now. I've always had 3 different types of players, murder hobos who cant remember anything about what's happening in the game and would rather watch anime on there's phones during the ses. Players who are good at the system, but not great at roleplay. And then, the few players who are great at roleplay and the system.
Anyways, I was talking to one of these players the other day, I had DMed him in the past, and he was great at roleplay, and the 5e system, he had a great backstory, but he wrote it before he got to the game, so yeah. all I ever wanted to do was help a player write his backstory.
Finally, the other day I did.
The guy I mentioned above DMed me on discord the other day and was like
"Hey, when we run CP red, can my character own an auto shop"
"Yeah, he can, but only if you write a good backstory explanation"
"Can I get some help with that"
I was ecstatic, this was my chance.
So we spent 3 and a half hours writing a huge backstory for this PC, we tied it into some of our old 2020 PCs, it was awesome.
It was he coolest experience for me, as a Gm, and I hope to do it again soon
