Why does nobody bring up the TTRPG source material when talking about 2077?

I've seen several video essays talking about the game and I've been scrolling through this subreddit quite a bit yet I can only find mention of Cyberpunk 2020 or Red a number of times less than one hand. Why is it that out of all Cyberpunk (both IP and genre) properties talked about in relation to 2077 Mike Pondsmith's source material isn't acknowledged?
