I know the hype around this game is cranked up to 11 right now but honestly I’m not paying a lot of attention to these reviews coming out. Sure the bugs sound a bit concerning but from the overall complexity of this game and all the mechanics and programming under the hood I can’t imagine what has gone into getting this game where it is and that’s not even talking about the overall scale and density of Night City itself.

I think the length of the story is very different than the length of the game itself. It’s already been mentioned before but the screenshot from the CDPR Q&A guy (we all know the one) showed he had been playing for 175 hours. When asked about it he said he was playing on the hardest difficulty, grabbing all the loot, and doing more of a Cool stealth build. These reviews surfacing today were rushed. I think we can all realize that and I don’t blame the reviewers at all. If it was my job to play and review games I would also want to get through the game as quickly as possible so I could put out some content before the launch of such a high profile game.

What I AM interested in seeing is what we all think of it. This community has been an absolute joy to be a part of through the super high highs and the rock bottom lows. We as a subreddit will be the ones I look to to judge this game (of course with my opinion as well). For now let’s just relax, take a deep breath, and all gear up to dive into the most anticipated game for us over the last decade. CDPR has been going hard AF on this game for forever and the fact that it is just a couple days away from actually being in our hands is pretty hard to fathom especially with how 2020 has been. I get the excitement I promise you that. But I’ve been able to reel myself in with these reviews and know that with everything I’ve seen and heard and researched about this game, it’s going to be fantastic. We don’t have to compare this to TW3. I know it’s easy to since it’s made by the same folks, but this is a different game with a lot more going on in a much more condensed setting. Don’t let this game disappoint you over preconceived notions about what we “think” this game will be. Let’s just love it for what it actually is once it arrives!!
