I want to talk about the quest Dream On and the decision of telling Jeff Peralez the truth or not. Thanks to phantom liberty, we get an idea into the larger outcomes of this decision. I think at this point it is more than obvious that Mr. Blue Eyes and who is behind the mind-control scheme is a rogue AI (even if you don’t agree for this discussion let’s just assume this is true).

Now, not telling him the truth results in him continuing to be manipulated by this AI and results in a mayoral policies that fuck over the corporations but this also means wearing NetWatch for obviously nefarious purposes. However, we all pretty much hate corpos, right? So this seems like it would be an okay option and Johnny should agree but doesn’t.

Telling him the truth makes him a paranoid train wreck but ultimately is able to make his own decisions. Unfortunately, this results or more pro-corporate policies which we all do not like the idea of, right?

So do we fight against the rogue AI while unintentionally siding with the corps or fight the corps but unintentionally side with the rogue AI?
