I recently finished the Phantom Liberty DLC (only 1 ending, though I know major points about all). And I wanted to share my thoughts and discuss the ending, both for Phantom Liberty and main game.

I personally favour the ending where we save So Mi and send her away to Moon. And for main game, Don't Fear the Reaper ending and then giving Johnny the body.

So, my choice is based on one simple point really. For me, V is on borrowed time. V made his mistake, and was slnot good enough. I, in fact, don't even thing her achievements after the Konpeki Plaza heist is her own. It was Johnny was a tough fearless badass. Anyway, point being that this already was good enough for me to give body to Johnny and give him another chance.

With this, and since there is no way I am just deleting Johnny, I had no real reason to side with Reed who is a baffoon and keep pretending to care but then shifting goal posts until he ends up fucking everyone over, including himself.

And so my goal in Phantom Liberty is simple, to give So Mi the chance she deserves while also making sure the fucking NUSA and Militech not only lose their weapon but have to libe under the fear that their weapon might return some day to get revenge.

So, in the end, V gets to be a ultra-badass. Fucking over Arasaka and NUSA and Militech almost (or literally) single-handedly. And ensuring that competent people get to live their lives or perhaps even continue the fight against the corpos. (So Mi might jot he good, but she is competent and I really doubt would side with corpos on anything).
