Question about the VR mod

I'm debating giving the vr mod a try but I have two questions about it first. I have a decent computer that runs the game without a problem. How much more intensive is vr on your computer. I've ran other vr games off of my computer before. The second question is how hard is it going to be to pull myself away from night city and return to the real world again.
