Upgrading for Phantom Liberty

Post Body

So since Phantom Liberty is a little over a month away right now, Iā€™m currently looking to get a pc upgrade to meet the demands for RT Overdrive.

I play at 2560x1440p, so 4k isnā€™t my objective just a nice solid 60fps experience.

I currently have a; - Ryzen 7 5800X - RTX 4070 - 32gb DDR4 @ 3200mhz

Right now with these specs if I play around with the DLSS settings, by turning it to ā€˜Balancedā€™ or ā€˜Performanceā€™, I can get roughly a solid 45-50 in combat, and 60ish if Iā€™m lucky standing still at certain shots, but then the game looks worse for me turning on these settings.

So right now since tax free weekend is coming up in MA, USA , I wanted to get a new CPU/Motherboard/RAM combo from Microcenter. The two options in my budget include the Ryzen 7700X, or the i9-12900k.

So I guess my real question is if anyone with the specs listed below could inform me of their performance to tell me if the upgrade would be beneficial or useless for the price.

ā€œNewā€ Specs; - Ryzen 7 7700X or Intel i9-12900k - RTX 4070 - 32GB DDR5 @6000mhz
