Hello!
Hope everyone is doing well. Last week's competition has officially ended. Congrats to /u/Ilieche for winning with their card Feed the Swamp Queen (reward). This week's secondary award, best /r/customhearthstone card goes to /u/Skitzo669 with their card Make Some Allies (reward). The runner ups are /u/PointiestHat with Canyon of Arcomoloch (reward) and /u/XenonCycle with Turn the Enemy (reward). Thanks to everyone who participated!
Weekly Competition
For this week's competition, your job is to a card that features a word that has not been seen in card text before. This word must be part of an effect, not a part of a token / generated card. For example, Corrupting Mist uses "curse", Chromatic Egg uses "hatch", etc. It's okay if the word has been used before, so long as it is infrequent and you are using a new meaning / mechanic of it. Note that good entries will not require additional explanation beyond the card itself. Good luck!
This week's Secondary Award is Best Drawback Card. Choose a card that incurs a drawback on its user. (hopefully the winner of last week doesn't mind that I switched around their primary / secondary comp ideas, I think it makes a more fun comp!)
How do I participate?
You can submit your card as a comment to this post below. The card must be in image form, following the rules and theme of the contest. Please do not submit an imgur album with your cards. If you want to submit multiple cards, just direct link both images. During then, you can also browse other entries and upvote the ones you like. Winners are featured in the next Top Cards of the Week post, awarded with an awesome flair, and get to pick the theme for the following week's contest!
Rules:
- This submissions post will be open for submissions as soon as the post is up.
- Submissions will close and the voting post will be open around noon EST on Wednesday.
- You may only submit ONE entry per competition.
- All submissions must be posted in an image format, if possible in a direct image format.
- You may not submit cards that you have posted to this subreddit from over a week ago.
- Entries must be of reasonable length and not abuse formatting to get attention (for example, do not put a background image to your card)
Any further questions about the theme or the weekly design competition though can be directed to us via modmail.
