Well met! Last week's competition was Weekly Design Competition #236: Keyword Hunting. There's a lot of design space by creating keywords with effects of one-off cards. Well done! The winner of last week's competition is /u/OvertCinnamon with their keyword Pursue, and Stubborn Constable. Congrats! The runners up are u/RazorOfArtorias, u/Nagog_Dijouru, u/jmgrrr, and u/GoldemGolem. Thank you all for participating!

Weekly Competition

The amount of positioning cards in Hearthstone is always kept at a fine balance. Too few and it becomes not worth playing around them. Too many and it becomes impossible to play around all of them. Nonetheless, there's a ton of cool design space that position cards such as Crushing Walls and Defender of Argus open up. We've actually already done a Weekly Design Competition with positioning as a theme, but so much has changed in 4 years.

For this week's competition, your job is to design a card that interacts with the positions of minions on the board. It can be as simple Defender of Argus' "adjacent minions", or can interact with the opponent's minions. Good luck!

How do I participate?

When this competition thread unlocks (around noon EST on Monday), you can submit your card as a comment to this post below. The card must be in image form, following the rules and theme of the contest. During then, you can also browse other entries and upvote the ones you like. Winners are featured in the next Top Cards of the Week post, awarded with an awesome flair, and get to pick the theme for the following week's contest!

Rules:

  • This post will be open for submissions and voting around noon EST on Monday.

  • You may only submit ONE entry per competition.

  • All submissions must be posted in an image format.

  • You have until Saturday to post your entries and vote on the ones you like.

  • You may not submit cards that you have posted to this subreddit from over a week ago.

  • Do not downvote submissions. If they break any rules, please report it instead.

  • Entries must be of reasonable length and not abuse formatting to get attention.

Any further questions about the theme or the weekly design competition though can be directed to us via modmail.
