My hairdresser (totally understandably!) stopped seeing clients 2 hours before my planned visit, for social distancing. :(
I've seen some DIY curly cut youtube videos and am pretty intimidated. But... since I won't be leaving the house for a few weeks anyways, I guess fewer people will see it if I screw up? Gotta think positive!
My main issue is that when the layers grow out, the roots stop curling until I have new layers put in. (wavy/curly hair, getting wavier as I get older. Pic & routine here) This also means I can't exactly see the final texture while I'm cutting it; it doesn't spring back until after washing.
Has anyone else experienced this and still cut it themselves, or have any resources where I can learn for myself? I'm really intrigued by trying this out, even if it doesn't look the best.
I do at least have hair scissors!
Thanks so much!
