This is just me venting, light-heartedly, because I don't think anyone else would get it. I've been on the curly hair path for a few months, but been having issues. I will say that even though I never straightened my hair or dyed it, I used the wrong shampoos and conditioners and pretty much the wrong methods overall. I used to brush my hair all of the time and didn't do anything at all to it.
Anyways, I won't go into too much but I've been getting flat sort of waves and curves, when my hair is pretty thick and I'd have decent volume when I did nothing to it, even though it didn't have definition, so I know my hair should be turning out better than it currently is.
SO! I just washed my hair (by curlgirl standards) and put my (long) hair up in a turban towels. And I realized something. I have been wrapping my hair in the twist up, when instead I should be have my hair in one "mass" to my scalp! Hopefully this is the turning point!!!
Wish me luck!!!
