My toddler has high porosity, dry frizzy hair. Tips/advice is needed

I’ve tried so many things to help with her hair . It’s dry and it tangles up easily. I try to wash her hair every two days—hair wash or just “wash “with conditioner. Her hair is mostly dry the lower two inches. I don’t want to cut her hair in fear of messing up the texture of her hair.

I guess I’m not sure what to do. She is mixed race Mexican/puerto rican. I’ve even tried kinky curly detangler a s it’s not oily enough to cause slippage . She’s 3 years old and dreads having her hair combed during bath time to de tangle her knots.

Thoughts ? Ideas?
