Feel like I’m faking having wavy hair

Post Body

Pics 1-3 are when I use Kirkland shampoo and conditioner, use a tee shirt to squeeze out as much water as I can, sometimes I brush while damp, and then air dry. Sometimes this turns out like the pics, other times it’s frizzy but not awfully so.

One day, a family member convinced me to try some wavy/curly hair products.

Pictures 4-6 are some of the better results I’ve gotten from a basic wavy hair routine. Use the same Kirkland shampoo and conditioner as before, but micro plop with a cotton tee, scrunch in some Herbal Essence gel and/or Aussie Miracle Waves mousse, sometimes plop in a cotton tee while I get dressed, then air dry or diffuse depending on time.

I feel like if my hair looks good and minimally frizzy with no products, why do I even bother sometimes with the extra steps to get some waves? Clearly my hair is straight.

….but when I do bother with the extra steps, sometimes it turns out so pretty! But I still feel like I don’t have wavy hair, I’m just faking it somehow. Anyone else?

TL;DR: my hair looks fine straight with no products, so I don’t know if I should bother with a wavy routine

I think your hair looks really nice with the waves so if you already have the products and technique down, keep going

She used the same shampoo and conditioner for every picture.
