I’ve been struggling with my waves/curls for the last couple years. Ironically, this all started after I started the curly girl method. Before you could catch me using sulfate containing products or sulfate free products that contained silicone. Strangely my hair was thicker and a lot curlier then. I will disclose within this 10 year period I did have an eating disorder for a year. Better now. I know this can affect hair. I also am on the lower end of healthy iron levels. So maybe that is the actual problem or it’s maybe just it’s genetics. I just know my hair is having a big effect on my mood now a days and I’m starting to get upset with figuring out whether my hair needs more moisture or protein or why it’s not holding a wave or curl, am I not doing the right styling technique etc. It’s like my hair was somehow better off when I didn’t know all of this information.
Just interested to see others thoughts on the topic.
Can I abandon a method I never actually used?
