I need some advice, I just recently got diagnosed so my hair hasn’t been in it best condition for a while and my dermatologist prescribed me ketoconazole 2% shampoo that i have to use 3 times a week, which i have with my usual conditioner. But my hair still seems to be very flat, frizzy and stringy. I am scared to really try any product in my hair because of how bad the dead skin and product would build up in my hair. Any tips or advice on how I can bring my hair back to life. My hair type is between 2c and 3a. One more thing I tried to describe the build up my hair would experience to my dermatologist but she didn’t really understand or try to but Whenever i use shampoo this gooey white stuff would stay stuck in my hair and my make my hair super oily. I thought it was my shampoo but i tried using a different shampoo and I’d see the same gooey stuff build up in my hair. The only way i was able to get it out was with apple cider vinegar and a tooth comb but the second i shampoo my hair it would come back again. It’s going away bit by bit with the ketoconazole 2% shampoo but i still comb some out and feel it.
