Good evening, Mar Vista community,
I'm reaching out regarding Joshua, a homeless individual often seen pacing between Grandview and Inglewood along Venice Blvd and the adjacent alleys. Male, caucasian with black hair and very thin. He paces around and might exhibit signs akin to schizophrenia, though I'm not qualified to diagnose. It's just an observation meant to aid in identification.
Although it may not seem like it, Joshua is coherent when addressed directly.
His situation seems more vulnerable compared to others facing homelessness, and I haven't seen him in the last few days. While his absence isn't entirely unusual, the dropping temperatures concern me. I have warm clothing to offer him, considering the forecast suggests a plunge into the 40s tonight.
If you happen to see Joshua, feel free to let me know via comment or dm. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated in ensuring he receives these essentials.
Additionally, Joshua is approachable. If you see him and feel inclined to offer him a meal, or simply wish to say hi, it's safe to do so. While his demeanor might suggest mental instability, and it's completely understandable if this makes you hesitant, he generally responds well to direct, kind interactions.
Lastly, I recognize the complexity and sensitivity surrounding the topic of homelessness. Please refrain from commenting your opinion. I think itβs safe to say we have enough people venting about it. Iβm just simply trying to help.
I appreciate you reading this.
Stay safe, stay warm!
